Grissom absently stroked Sara’s slightly damp
hair as a bright smile found its way to his mouth. Her fingertips caressed his side as she
rested comfortably in his arms, her head on his chest.
Hearing her soft mumble against his skin, he
looked down at her. “What?”
She chuckled softly and raised her head to gaze
into his eyes. “I said…you have nothing
to worry about.”
He narrowed his eyes in confusion and silently
questioned her. She yawned as she pushed
herself up and sat beside of him.
“Earlier…you said you were worried about being
able to satisfy me.” She watched him as
he registered her meaning, a blush forming on his cheeks. “I’m telling you, Griss…you have absolutely
nothing to worry about.”
He chuckled in embarrassment and sat up,
resting his back against the headboard of his bed. “It…uh…it had been awhile…for me.”
She snuggled into his side and yawned
again. “How old were you?”
“Huh?”
She laughed lightly. “I guess it would help if I finished the
question, wouldn’t it?”
He joined in with her laughter as he wrapped
his arm around her. “That might help me,
Sara…”
“When you lost your virginity…how old were
you?”
She felt his body stiffen and then, just as
quickly, begin to relax. She looked into
his eyes and offered him a gentle smile.
“I’m just curious…”
He nodded slowly and took a deep breath. “Nineteen…”
“Was she nice?”
His brow furrowed. “Yes. At the time.” He
licked his lips and smiled back at her.
“How old were you?”
“Me?”
He laughed as she began to blush. “Yes. You. How old were
you?”
“Uh…seventeen…”
“You were still in high school?”
“No. It
was the summer after I graduated high school.”
He bit his bottom lip nervously, unsure if he
should continue the discussion. A
wistful smile tugged at her lips as she remembered that warm summer night.
“His name was Jeff. We had dated all through high school. Our friends were convinced we’d get married…”
“What happened?” His question was softly spoken.
She sighed lightly as she turned to look at
him. “We went to college. I was in Harvard, he went to UCLA.”
“Was he nice?”
She chuckled softly. “I wouldn’t have dated him for four years if
he wasn’t. He was my
first…everything. First crush, first date, first kiss, first love…”
“Lucky boy…”
She grinned as she felt his fingertips glide
across her bare arm. “I think my parents
were actually happy that he decided to stay in
“Why do you say that?”
“They never really liked him.” Her grin faded into a smirk as the memories
flooded her mind. “His goal was to be
active in politics. My
parents…Jeff. No,
not a good mixture. But, they did
respect that he treated me well…and that he loved me.”
“Tell me about that night…”
Her eyes snapped to his. “What makes you think it was night?”
He shrugged his shoulders as he kissed her
temple. “Didn’t all high school sexual
escapades take place at night?”
She chuckled, shaking her head slowly. “You really want to hear about that?”
“I wanted to hear about your induction into the
mile-high club, didn’t I?”
“That was different. You were trying to distract me from grilling
you on your knowledge of…”
“Sara…would I really do that?”
She laughed as she poked her finger into his
chest. “You just did it again. I will get the truth out of you…one day…”
Grissom grinned and lifted her finger to press
a kiss into the palm. “Tell me…”
“What’s to tell? The time was right for us that night and we
decided to give each other the one gift that…”
Her voice trailed off as she saw his arched
eyebrow.
“Okay…okay…”
He chuckled lightly and pushed her hair behind
her ear. “Was it…romantic?”
She thought for a moment, inhaling deeply. “As romantic as it possibly could be for two
awkward teenagers…”
“So, no back seat of the car experience?”
She smacked his chest playfully. “No!
I’ll have you know that it happened at his house, when his parents were
away for the weekend.”
“Really?” He winked at her as he licked his lips. “And?”
“You know, you’re getting far too much
enjoyment out of this…”
His eyes twinkled as he looked at her. “Maybe, but keep going…”
“Let’s just say that it was an enjoyable
experience…and that I wouldn’t change it if I could.”
“Sara…”
She grinned at him as he narrowed his
eyes. “I’m not giving out details,
Griss.”
He muttered incoherently under his breath and
inhaled softly. “Was that the only
time?”
She shook her head slowly. “No…but I had to leave a couple of weeks
later.”
“And that was the end of Sara and Jeff?”
She shrugged her shoulders and tilted her
head. “Not exactly. We tried to make it work for a while, but the
distance between us was just too much.
We both agreed to see other people.”
Grissom nodded in understanding and bent his
head to place a tender kiss on her lips.
“When was the last time you saw him?”
“Four years ago…at his wedding.”
“Oh…”
She smiled at his sudden loss of words. “It’s okay, you know. I was so happy for him. And Lynette is a wonderful woman. Besides…it’s not like our break-up was
bitter. It was a mutual decision and we
were able to remain very good friends…”
“I, for one, am very glad that you went to
Harvard. Even though Jeff seems like he
was a very decent young man.”
“Yeah?”
He sighed as he felt her lips caress his
chest. “Yeah.”
Her hand slid down his body as she continued to
pepper his torso with kisses. “Why’s
that?”
His eyes closed as her warm hand encircled his
quickly hardening flesh. “If
you…hadn’t…you might not of…God, Sara…”
“Go on…”
She smiled wickedly as she tightened her grip on his erection. “I might not of what?”
“Mm…gone to one of my…oh…one of my
lectures…and…”
“Hm. But, I did…”
She heard his sharp gasp as she flicked her tongue against the
glans.
“Yes…yes, you did. Sara…”
She smiled inwardly as she quickly engulfed
him, relishing his loud moan.
